Oasis Observer

You’ll need Claude Code installed on macOS or Linux, and Node.js 24 (opens in a new tab). A personal Claude Code account is fine.

1. Run setup in Terminal.

   Open Terminal in your work folder, paste this command, and press Enter.

2. Choose what to share.

   Follow the installer to select your work folders. Observer sends session activity from enrolled folders to your Oasis workspace for task attribution.

3. Sign in to Oasis.

   When your browser opens, sign in with your own Oasis account, choose your company workspace, and return to the installer. Use your team’s invitation first if the workspace is missing.

4. Finish in Claude Code.

   Follow any plugin approval prompts, then start a fresh Claude Code session in an enrolled folder.

Using Code inside Claude Desktop? These steps apply only when it uses a compatible local Claude Code runtime. Cowork has its own setup below. Once enabled, Observer runs in new local sessions in enrolled folders. You don’t need to select a task each time. Set it up separately on each computer or execution environment you use.

   Open /hooks in Codex and approve the Oasis hooks. Then start a fresh local session in an enrolled folder.

Codex desktop also needs a compatible local runtime with hooks enabled. Once enabled, Observer runs in new local sessions in enrolled folders. You don’t need to select a task each time. Set it up separately on each computer or execution environment you use.

Cowork uses your Claude organization’s activity reporting. The Claude Code plugin does not connect Cowork.

1. Ask your administrator to connect your company.

   Your Claude administrator enables Cowork telemetry and connects it to Oasis. This requires an eligible organization plan.

2. Use your company account.

   Join your team’s Oasis workspace and use the provider account your administrator connected. Restart Cowork sessions after your administrator changes telemetry settings.

3. Try a small work task.

   After it finishes, ask your administrator to check that activity appears in Oasis. Your administrator can confirm when reporting should arrive.

Administrators: sign in and choose your Oasis workspace to open this provider’s connection form. You’ll also need administrator access to your company’s provider account.

ChatGPT connects through a supported company workspace export. The Codex plugin does not capture ordinary ChatGPT chats.

1. Ask your administrator to connect your company.

   Your ChatGPT workspace administrator configures the supported compliance export. A personal ChatGPT account cannot use this company connection.

2. Use your company account.

   Join your team’s Oasis workspace and use the provider account your administrator connected.

3. Try a small work task.

   After it finishes, ask your administrator to check that activity appears in Oasis. Activity arrives after your company’s next import, rather than immediately.

This export can report activity, but does not supply actual token counts or per-request costs.

Microsoft 365 Copilot connects through your company’s Microsoft tenant. No employee plugin is needed. This connection does not support GitHub Copilot.
